Blackpool Illuminations: 31st August-4th November
At 10 kilometres long and using over 1 million bulbs, the Blackpool Illuminations are an incredible display!
Every year there is a Switch On concert with a celebrity to switch on the illuminations. The weekend format varies from year to year. For 2018, there will be Friday’s great switch on concert and on Saturday, Britney Spears performing her Piece of Me tour alongside many more amazing performances!
River of Light, Liverpool- 4th November
One of the UK’s most successful firework companies will light up the skies above both sides of the River Mersey for this year’s November 4th celebrations – with a specially commissioned musical display in Liverpool and Wirral.

Manchester Christmas Markets: 9th November- 22nd December
Manchester’s award-winning Christmas Markets 2018 return this winter offering international food, drinks and gifts.
With more than 300 beautiful stalls spread across the city centre, the Christmas Markets are free and accessible to all.

Celebrating its 12th anniversary this year, you can expect even more from this amazing Christmas market in the iconic St George’s Plateau, just outside St. George’s Hall.
You’ll feel a warm, friendly vibe in Liverpool this Christmas as the 40 eclectic stalls will be selling food, arts and crafts from across four continents. Enjoy mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and of course, yummy gingerbread.
